IDC - Course Dates, Q & A•Internship program- What to bring?

Im coming in August to start my internship program for 4 months. This will be the first time i will be spending a large amount of time in a different country. What are some of the essentials that i should bring with me? What should i expect from a 4th program?

Hi there, I did my internship program back in 2009 for 3 months, and had an amazing time! Basically Koh Tao has everything you will really need, from tooth paste to cheap clothing and medicine. You will need to sort a few things before you come out here. for your Thai Visa , educational is the best one as you are here for an extended period of time. Other than that you will need quite a few pairs of swimming shorts as you will be spending most days in them. Also good pair of sun glasses, and as you are diving a lot i recomend you get a diving computer, As you will want one anyway when you get here you may as well get one at home and learn how it works and what it can do. As for money i could happily get by here on 500 Bht a day, which is around 10 GBP / 15 USD / 12 Euro. This amount would cover me for a good amount if decent food, water and soft drinks a couple of beers at the end of the night. Also i should add that a rain coat is quite useful at times, being as Thailand is in the tropics the weather is normally great but when it rains, it rains hard!
